Mr. Saraf is engaged in commercial / industrial activities from the year 1972 as Manufacturer / Exporter of Readymade garments. One of the Group Companies Saraf Textile Mills (Pvt.) Ltd. won " PRESIDENT OF INDIA AWARD " in the year 1982 for commendable exports thereby earning valuable foreign exchange for the country.

Shri S. M. Saraf’s, knowledge experience and qualities of Leadership have steered the activities of the group very successfully. He has been President of the following apex organizations of the trade & industry: -

1. Federation of Rajasthan Trade & industry (FORTI) for 7 years
2. Federation of Rajasthan Exporters (FORE) for 12 years
3. He was Patron of Garment Exporters Association of Rajasthan.

He is permanent invitee on the Executive Committee of the Apparel Export Promotion Council, New Delhi that is the undertaking of the Govt. of India, Ministry of commerce. He has been very active in highlighting the problems of the Export Community and his suggestions for the promotion of Export trade from India have been found and appreciated to be very constructive. He has been awarded letters of appreciation, one from the Chairman of the A.E.P.C. and another from Secretary to the Govt. of Rajasthan Department of Industries, SSI, Khadi & Village Industries.

Mr. S.M. Saraf had represented as the only Nominee from Rajasthan on the High Power committee on small industries in the year 1992-93 under Chairmanship of the Prime Minister of India Mr. P.V. Narshima Rao. He has also nominated on various Advisory Committees of Govt. of Rajasthan.

He has been invited by the Apparel Export Promotion Council to join the trade delegation to Hong Kong Fashion Fair held in July 2006. He was only invitee from State of Rajasthan. He has interacted with various foreign buyers, Hong Kong fair authority, Indian Ambassador and VIPs and presented a note of his suggestions to the council on how to motivate more exporters to participate in the international fairs. These suggestions have been found to be very constructive and are being implemented by the council.

Right from the Beginning the policy of his GROUP Companies have been to provide total customer satisfaction by offering quality garments in time. To meet the commitments of quality and prompt delivery, it was decided to integrate the manufacturing process in a planned manner. The entire process has been integrated by importing state-of-the-art machinery from world-renowned manufacturers. The R&D Deptt. Works continuously on developing new type of garments, which is again unique capability. It gives an edge to manufacture garments for all seasons/trends eventually assigning our customers to be placed in a better and superior position in the market.

His strength lies in adapting to different manufacturing requirements. The continuous training enables our workers to shift to the changing manufacturing needs required by the customers we cater to. Fully linked customized manufacturing process enables job migration from one style to another easily and efficiently. Every care is taken to ensure the perfection of the garments that reach our valued customers.

Birth place of Shri Saraf is Village: Churi Ajitgarh, Distt. JHUNJHUNU (Raj.). In order to provide gainful employment to large number of artisans/unskilled workers, mostly ladies he has set up Garment Manufacturing factory in the village, equipped with imported stitching machines at cost of more than one crore. 100% production is exported which earns valuable foreign exchange.

He has also started training center for the unskilled workers, ladies and gents and appointed an Instructor to train them for stitching and finishing. Apart from this he has provided jobs for hand embroidery, sequins, beads etc. to village ladies not only of his village but also of various surrounding villages. More then one thousand rural ladies have been provided gainful job there. Shri Saraf is associated with various social/religious organisation.

He has built well to provide hygienic drinking water for people, beasts and birds. Water is very Scarce there and due to shortage of electricity, DG set is provided to keep the Tubbe well working for all the 24 Hours, so that thirsty people of the area could benefit from it. Four water huts (Piyaoo) have been built at different sites to serve large no. of people.
He has also built Mataji & Hanuman Temples, which are now very popular place for worship of the people of the area.

Mr. Saraf has now entered in new venture of REAL ESTATE Backed by past experience of developing and building various industrial, commercial and residential buildings of which details are as under: -
